Privacy notice

Last updated 27 September 2026

This notice explains how Maunu Group Oy processes personal data when you visit maunu.fi. Our other services, such as Spiiksi.fi, Maunu Terminal and webmail, may have their own privacy notices.

1. Controller

Maunu Group Oy (Business ID 2773843-5), Helsinki, Finland
Contact: the contact form on our front page.

2. Website statistics without cookies

We collect statistics about the use of this website with our own analytics tool. It does not use cookies and, unless you give your consent (section 3), it stores nothing on your device. We collect:

  • the pages you view on this site, in order, how long they are visible and how far you scroll;
  • how you arrived: the referring website, search engine or social network, campaign parameters (utm_*) and ad click identifiers such as Google Ads' gclid;
  • browser, operating system and device type, screen size, language and time zone;
  • the site address the page was on and your approximate location (country and city), derived from your IP address;
  • clicks on links to our other services and on email links, and sign-in attempts in the customer portal — never the email address or password you type.

We do not store IP addresses. Your IP address is only used, on our own server, to look up your approximate location in a geolocation database, and the address itself is not kept. To tell visits apart, your IP address and browser identifier are combined with a random key that changes every day and turned into a one-way hash. The hash cannot be traced back to you and cannot be linked across days.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how our website and marketing work and improving them (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Retention: the data is deleted automatically after 13 months.

3. With your consent

If you choose Accept in the privacy banner, we additionally use the following:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to analyse how the website is used and to measure the results of our Google Ads campaigns. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address and device information. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Ad personalisation is disabled. Google Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.

Browsing history on this device

Our own statistics also keep, in your browser's local storage, the pages you have viewed on this site, how you first found us and how many times you have visited, and send this along with the statistics. This lets us understand visits over time — for example, a first visit through an ad followed by a later direct visit.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time in the ; the information stored on your device is then deleted.

4. The contact form

When you send us a message, we store your name, email address and message, the page you sent it from and, if known, how you arrived at our site (for example a search engine or an ad campaign). We use them to reply to you and to manage any customer relationship that follows, and we receive a copy by email through our email service provider. The form uses no cookies; to limit spam, it counts messages per visitor with a one-way hash, not your IP address.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Retention: messages are deleted automatically after 24 months, or earlier when no longer needed.

5. Recipients

The data collected by our own statistics is stored on servers we administer. Google receives data as described above only if you consent. We do not sell personal data.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access and rectify your personal data, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing and, where applicable, to data portability. Because our cookieless statistics do not identify you, we usually cannot link that data to you. You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).

7. Changes

We may update this notice. The current version is always available on this page.
